Luis S\u00e1nchez\u2014owner, and CEO\u2014became a diving instructor and founded \u201cRango Extendido\u201d in 1980. The name of the school is taken from the American terminology \u201cextended range\u201d, which broadly means \u2018go beyond\u2019 your own experience\/limits by achieving lengthened bottom times, going deeper and further, and becoming the best of the best. For us, \u201cRango Extendido\u201d also means \u2018out of the ordinary\u2019, intrepid divers, adventurous students & collaborators, and audacious exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since 1980, the school has provided diving and swimming courses and trips. The school promotes underwater photography and filming, for example in-house documentary projects, it also has collaborated in various studio and made for TV movies. \u201cRango Extendido\u201d is today a recognised leading enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As off 1981, \u201cRango\u201d has organized diving expeditions in Mexico and around the world\u2014Africa, Indonesia, Gal\u00e1pagos, Costa Rica, Antarctica, Artic circle, Great lakes, Bahamas, Cuba, Australia, New Zeland, Island, Tahiti, Micronesia, Fiji, and much more.
